Why do I have to specify the gross salary in my job?

When you create a job on Get on Board you must specify the salary range offered for the position, which applicants will see during the application process. With a subscription plan you can hide it from public views.

Until September 2022, companies were asked to enter net salary (the amount after legal deductions). Since October 2022, we request gross salary, meaning the amount before legal deductions.

Why the change?

Get on Board is an international platform serving companies and talent across Latin America and beyond. In most countries, salary negotiations are based on gross salary, so we keep a common language: gross salary in USD.

How the transition works

  1. When you edit a previously created job (published or not), you are prompted to add gross salary.
  2. Once you add gross salary, it will appear in public views if you are not hiding salary.
  3. Applicants will see an “enter gross salary” message during the application flow, and you can tell which applicants entered net vs. gross amounts.
  4. New jobs will require gross salary only, so we recommend updating older jobs to align now.
