We are seeking a highly experienced Semi-Senior/Senior Rust Developer to join our team remotely from anywhere in Latin America at Devsu.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement software solutions using Rust that meet the requirements of the project while ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Identify and implement optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of Rust applications, including reducing memory usage, minimizing latency, and maximizing throughput.
  • Ensure that their code adheres to Rust's memory safety and thread safety guarantees, leveraging language features such as ownership, borrowing, and lifetimes to prevent common pitfalls like memory leaks and data races.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including software engineers, QA testers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and according to specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 4 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Rust and systems programming.
  • Rust: Proficiency in Rust programming language and its ecosystem, with a deep understanding of memory management, performance optimization techniques, and concurrent programming.
  • AWS Lambdas: Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda functions, serverless architectures, and cloud-native application development.
  • MongoDB: Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, including data modeling, querying, and performance optimization techniques. (Preferred)
  • Version Control and Collaboration: Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborating in a team environment using Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues, and a strong emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
